Current Awareness

Current Awareness is provided to keep the Library users informed on specified topics. The Library staff emails articles relevant to the Library users. The Library user who wishes to receive emails should fill up the SDI form and provide his/her subject of interest.

The Current Awareness Service is provided by the Library for students, faculty, staff, and administrators to proactively satisfy their information needs.  It aims to:

              1. Provide monthly new acquisitions list of the Library.

​

             2. Provide access to tables of contents of journals held                    in  the Library’s collection and to order copies of

                  articles.

​

             3. Answer specific questions and obtain information                         needed  to satisfy their patrons’ queries.

​

              4. Provide up-to-date trends in all areas of knowledge.

​

              5. Disseminate news about the services of the Library.
