Accepting Outside Researchers

The University Learning Library accepts outside researchers and students of other schools and universities who wish to utilize the library collection subject to some rules.

If a visitor is an outside researcher, he/she needs to present any valid government issued Identification Card, state the purpose of visit, and what institution he/she is affiliated. He/she then fills up the visitor log sheet. All materials are for Room Use Only.

If a visitor is a student from another school or university, he/she needs to present his official school ID and the referral letter duly signed by the head librarian of his/her school. The date of visit shall be specified. Only student visitors indicated in the referral letter shall be allowed to use the library materials.
Note: Chief Librarian (CL) and Reader’s Service/ Department Librarian reserves the right to refuse admission of outside researchers during the following occasions:
(1) examination days;
(2) high volume of users in the Library;
(3) no referral letter presented;
(4) insufficient identification documents to establish identity of visitor; and other possible considerations deemed by Chief Librarian
(CL) and Reader’s Service/ Department Librarian that may arise.
